About the position: RKON is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Executive or Senior Sales Executive to drive growth across our cloud security solutions portfolio. In this role, you will manage the full sales lifecycle from identifying new opportunities to nurturing relationships and driving revenue. This is a perfect opportunity for a sales professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and has a passion for cybersecurity and technology. You’ll also work closely with strategic partners to enhance RKON's offerings, elevate our brand presence, and maximize sales impact. This role is fully remote with access to a major US city/airport preferred. The ability to travel up to 30% is required.

Responsibilities Include:

Sales Leadership and Strategy: 

  • Lead the identification, qualification, and closing of sales opportunities within new and existing accounts, managing the sales process from start to finish. 
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate new accounts and expand business within existing clients, ensuring strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers. 
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, applying a disciplined approach to prospecting, lead generation, and opportunity management. 
  • Use data-driven insights to track, forecast, and report on sales performance and partner-led opportunities, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure success. 
  • Develop and manage a predictable sales process to ensure consistent revenue growth across multiple client accounts and partnership channels. 
  • Work alongside RKON's consulting, delivery, and marketing teams to create customized sales strategies, promote our services, and increase market visibility. 

Business Development & Revenue Growth: 

  • Drive revenue by leveraging both direct and indirect sales strategies, including partnerships with technology providers, cloud platforms, and other service partners. 
  • Partner with the sales and partnerships teams to co-develop strategies aimed at expanding RKON’s market reach and increasing revenue through strategic alliances. 
  • Oversee the full cycle of partnership-driven sales engaging with partners, executing joint go-to-market strategies, and capitalizing on co-marketing opportunities. 
  • Establish and manage relationships with cloud service providers, technology partners, and managed service providers, working together to unlock value and grow our business. 

Industry & Market Insight: 

  • Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to remain competitive in the marketplace. 
  • Leverage your understanding of the cybersecurity landscape to position RKON as a leader in delivering innovative solutions to clients across various industries. 


Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Sales Expertise: Strong experience in consultative sales, especially within the technology or cybersecurity industries, with a proven ability to close deals. 
  • Partnership Acumen: Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to drive joint sales initiatives, manage partnerships, and create new revenue streams. 
  • Client-Focused: Exceptional relationship-building skills, particularly in working with C-suite executives and senior-level decision-makers. 
  • Communication Skills: Highly effective communicator with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and compelling way, both in writing and verbally. 
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and closing skills, with experience navigating the nuances of multi-party agreements and partnership contracts. 
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple accounts, opportunities, and sales cycles simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and ensuring sales targets are met. 
  • Technological Understanding: Deep passion for and understanding of the cybersecurity industry, with knowledge of key trends, challenges, and solutions in the cloud security space. 

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field or military equivalent preferred.   
  • Sales: 6-8+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in a technology or professional services environment. 
  • Proven experience working in partnership-driven sales environments, with exposure to cloud, technology, and MSP partnerships. 

Compensation
  • Base Salary: $150,000
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $300,000 (including commissions and performance-based bonuses)
Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
